Client Spotlight: Mrs. Rosemary Sunday

Story and reporting by SALT staff

Rosemary Sunday is a provision store owner in the town of Uba in Borno state, Nigeria. She is a married 27 year old mother of two happy children who has a passion for business and a strong desire to learn new things. She has been pleased to discover that the focus of the SALT Nigeria program is helping people to learn and grow in their business and spiritual life while they save and manage their money properly. Her time in the Usakuhyel savings group has changed her life.

She has been a member of SALT Savings Solution for more than two years and she narrated the following to us.

“Before the coming of SALT Savings Program, there was no financial group in my community that offer both teaching (Business and Spiritual) and financial assistance where small scale traders like me can access loan and pay back with small interest.”

The SALT Savings Solution have helped her grow her business as she has been able to collect a small loan from her savings group and invest it into her provision store. She has been saving for when she will pay for annual renewal of her shop rent. This helps her to safely use her remaining profit to support her family.

The spiritual teaching have helped her tremendously in her home as a married woman; how to respect and be submissive to her husband as the Bible instructed and also trained her children in the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ.
