SALT Savings Solutions

Savings groups provide disciplined savings, accountability, environment to learn, loans from savings at low interest and the opportunity to invest in the community as a group with social funds.

Savings groups also provide powerful opportunities for Kingdom builders and evangelists. They are the perfect platform for sound Biblical teaching, Evangelism, Discipleship and Community Development.

Living Hope Vocational School

LHV Schools operate in 2 locations in Nigeria. These schools focus on giving disadvantaged and orphaned youth marketable job skills, Bible foundation for life and training for how to operate a small business.

An orphan in Nigeria faces a difficult future and is extremely vulnerable to a life of crime or prostitution. We can change the future for the youth we train into one of being a productive citizen in society.

SALT Nigeria Savings Clients are experiencing the solid and lasting growth that our program offers. We emphasize 3 important aspects of change:

  • 377,245,050 Naira Client Savings in 2022

    Each year the capacity of our clients for saving and investing grows.

    150 Naira will buy a bottle of Coke, 300 Naira a plate of food, 30,000 Naira buys a mattress, and 300,000 Naira a fairly used car or a new motorcycle .

  • Over 8,200 Current Clients

    We have offices in Plateau and Borno States serving both metropolitan and rural communities. Savings clients are in groups averaging 28 clients per group or more than 200 groups.

    Living Hope School operates in 2 locations serving orphan and disadvantaged youth.

  • 19 Committed Teaching Staff

    Our staff are well trained and committed to quality teaching and discipleship. They facilitate savings meetings, lead youth groups and teach vocational classes at Living Hope Schools.

    Our goal together is to be a faithful witness for Jesus Christ.

  • 2 Living Hope Locations

    Orphan and disadvantaged youth are trained with job skills and knowledge for life.

    It is our distinct goal to be a force for change in the lives of our students enabling them to become productive citizens in Nigerian society when they graduate.

 

Steady and designed growth

Beginning in early 2017 we have experienced increasing demand for our ministry and have steadily added Savings Clients ending 2022 with around 7,400 individual clients.

Our growth trend is rapidly increasing year by year and sadly it is often that we must turn potential clients away because our commitment is to development of a stable, financially equitable and effective program rather than sheer numbers of growth.
